If you are a young man aged 18-35 and a UK resident who prior to the Covid-19 lockdown attended the gym at least once a week for three months, I would like to invite you to participate in my final year project for my Psychology degree. Please note: In this study, a ‘gym session’ is defined as partaking in physical activity for at least 30 minutes a session using weighted machines, free weights, resistance bands or other gym equipment.

This study seeks to understand how the closure of gyms during the Covid-19 lockdown have influenced men’s wellbeing and to learn about strategies used to adjust to this. If you would like to participate, then please click the link to the online questionnaire below. If reflecting on your wellbeing is something you might feel uncomfortable about, then it is advised you do not participate. If you are a Leeds Beckett University BSc Psychology student, you are eligible for 2 SONA points for participation, you can find my study and the link to participate in the SONA system.
