http://www.acronymfinder.com might help... but I don't know if it has that much British stuff on.

They're often for stuff like institutes that the person is a member or Fellow of.

The only ones I can think of at the moment are:

-BA (Hons), which is Bachelor of Arts with Honours
-BSc (Hons), which is Bachelor of Science with Honours
-BEd (Hons), which is Bachelor of Education with Honours
-MA, which is Master of Arts
-MSc, which is Master of Science
-MEd, Master of Education (does that actually exist? I think I remember hearing it somewhere....)
-BEng and MEng, which I'm guessing are Bachelor and Master of Engineering
-MMath, which I'm guessing is Master of Mathematics
-PhD, which I think is a doctorate
-PGCE, which is Post Graduate Certificate of Education

BEng and MEng are Batchelor and Master of English, methinks. PhD is a philosophy doctrate (though not necessarily in philosophy, obviously).
