Guys, which textbooks for maths were the best for revision?
Should I buy yr 1 and 2 separately?
Also are there any combined yr 1 and 2 books which are actually effective?

I know this isnt a official edexcel one but there is a cgp book for all of yr1 and 2 with all the topics and its basically just lots of questions (with answers) which I am using and is great.

I used the student workbooks to teach myself the course: https://www.cgpbooks.co.uk/secondary...omplete-studen

My books were the slightly older versions where there are just 2 books, one each for Y1 and Y2 (i.e. pure/stats/mech were in one book for each year - they have now split them). I found the online editions invaluable as they update them when needed.

I also had this revision book, but I didn't actually use it at all: https://www.cgpbooks.co.uk/secondary...r-1-2-complete

I used these sites for Edexcel practice:

- Mechanics papers: https://naikermaths.com/a-level-prac...rs-2019-specs/
- https://madasmaths.com/ (IYGB practice papers / A level practice papers 2019 spec / MP1 MP2 SYN & MMS papers)
- Edexcel past papers (with solutions): https://www.mathsgenie.co.uk/alevelpapers.html
- Topic questions & solutions: https://www.mathsgenie.co.uk/newalevel.html
- Questions by topic: Pure, Stats, Mechanics
- Papers created using Edexcel questions (I think they have been created using the Edexcel Unit Tests and/or Practice Papers): Pure, Applied
- Videos: TLMaths (helped me tremendously with Stats) and ExamSolutions

Direct Edexcel links:
Specification
Formula Booklet
Data Set
Sample papers 1, 2 & 3
June 2018 Question papers & mark schemes

I also used past papers from the other boards. The papers/questions are set out differently (and WJEC is completely different - higher grade boundaries), but the spec is roughly the same, so when you run out of practice questions, these can be useful:

AQA:

Formula Booklet

Sample Set 1 Question papers & mark schemes
June 2018 Question papers & mark schemes

Formula Booklet (included with question papers)

Sample Questions papers & mark schemes: Paper 1, Paper 2, Paper 3
June 2018 Question papers & mark schemes
June 2019: QP1, QP2, QP3

WJEC:
These exams work slightly differently. Papers 1 & 2 are AS level Pure & Applied, whereas Papers 3 & 4 are A level Pure & Applied. I believe that all 4 papers have to be sat for A level.
