Friends and stealing hoodies/attractiveness?

I learned recently that my friend (Who used to like me), likes to steal only my clothes. He is the only one who does this. We have an inside joke which is that if I was a guy, he'd still find me attractive, and when I came out as Ace to him, he told me he accepted me and that it doesn't matter what I am to him. However, every time when I try to arrange a hangout he mainly starts with 'Um' at the beginning. He does want to see me, but I have a feeling nerves are getting the better of him as well as life in general. This was shown through arranging our first hangout. He checked in before hanging out the day before and on the day. He has flirted with me, but I think it was because he was doing NNN. All this is through text as we live far away from each other, however I am going to moving closer to him (one of the reasons).
