Live far from London and moving by car

Hi, I am going to get into one of the Uni in London
and I am an oversea student.
I think it is better to buy a car and live far from London and drive a car to get uni due to the rent price.
Will it be better to save money?
I am going to buy a used car and will spend about 1000 pounds for buying a car.
I want to know about all of things about cost of driving in London.

You're not going to park in London. It's as simple as that

Parking in London will be hellish, I paid £50 to park in south kensington for four days, and that price was amazing.

To be honest if your uni is in London and your accomodation is in london, you won't really need a car, the busses and tube systems are more than adequate for getting round.
