Hi! I have applied for History and French at Newcastle via partners and If I receive an offer I will be firming it.

I'm from North East Scotland so will be nice to make some friends before I go down there. I'll be 23 in June, I'm a Trans man who loves music, Norse mythology, and ancient Viking culture. I'm not a huge drinker but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy going out , movies, musicals, activities, concerts, food, etc...

Anyone else?

Newcastle is a great city for students and relatively cheap than other cities. It is also has amazing beaches, I’m sure you’d love it!

Hi ChasenStars,

It's great to hear you're thinking about firming Newcastle for History and French!

We understand it's comforting to connect with fellow students before joining us in Newcastle so that's why we aim to create a warm and welcoming community prior to your arrival For 2021 applicants, we have created a Facebook Offer Holders group where you can meet likeminded students, find your course friends and even meet your flatmates. You can find the group and apply here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/819469368820001. You can also reach many of our current students via our Unibuddy platform! Here you can chat to students from all backgrounds, courses and interests and ask them anything about studying at Newcastle. You can find this here: https://www.ncl.ac.uk/study/contact/unibuddy/.

In terms of nightlife and entertainment, Newcastle has tonnes to offer beyond it's night-time activities! You can read more about this here: https://belong.ncl.ac.uk/blog/teetotal-in-newcastle. If you'd like to read more about our city, student stories and study tips, you can do so here too: https://belong.ncl.ac.uk/blog#topic.

Hope this helps! If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Best of luck with the offer!
