Architecture is a design based degree and career. You’ll need a portfolio of design and creative work to apply and usually an A level in a creative subject. D&T is a useful gcse but art and design is more common - if you can take both.
I also want to become an architect, and am in year 11 currently.
I chose Fine Art (though any art would help), design & technology (my favourite subject, that I'm taking for A level and -at my school- you need gcse d&t to do a level so very useful for potential architects), French (not essential) and IT (not essential).
Science, especially physics, and maths are very important, too.
You want to choose options that open up A levels, and in turn choose A levels that open up degrees - so maybe do some research
Hope this helps
