Hi I have a few chemistry questions;
q2) how would you prepare deuterated diphenylmethanol (c6h5)2CDOH?
q3?how would deuterated diphenylmethanol differ from the protonated version in its physical properties and chemical reactions.

i think for physical properties im sure its bp. chemical reactions i am unsure with.
Thanks for any help.

There are several ways to make diphenylmethanol. In order to introduce the deuterium atom you need to identify from which species the hydrogen attaches in the mechanism and use the deuterated version.

Chemical properties will vary in the rate of reaction.
