Maintenance loan after quitting university

I've quit my uni around more or less two months ago and I've received the maintenance loan for the first term. Will I have to pay it back instantly even though quite a lot of time has passed since I've last heard from SFE? My student councillor says that I get to keep it and it counts as an overall loan together with the tuition fees but my gut feeling is telling me otherwise. Thanks for the help!

They basically work out what you are due for the time you were actually registered-anything classed as an overpayment is then usually due back straight away -although sometimes they will allow it to be paid in instalments.
It wouldn’t be the full amount since you attended some of the term at least- They would generally let you know though if you did owe anything back.
