    Please could sum 1 help me iwht ht emethods and solutions 4 these 2 Qs
    1. Find all the angles in the range 0-360degrees satisfying the eqtn sinx+1/2 sqrt3
    (that is sinx plus a half times the sqrt of 3)
    I got -60 as my intitial solution, dont no where to go form there!!!!

    and Q2
    solve the eqtn 3^x=15, giving you answer correct to 4.d.p

    Question 1, use ur calculator, draw a sin wave and see what other x values it occurs at

    question 2, 3^x = 15
    xln3=ln15
    x=ln15 / ln3

    i dont have a graphical calculator and have the exam next week!! i was told my scientific one would be fine!! is there any way else to do Q 1, i can never draw a sine graph accurately

    :| it just goes up and down and up and down....
    starting at x=0 sinx=0 it goes up peaking at x=90 and then comes down, cuts the x axis as x=180 etc etc you can remember that!!

    I'm on the old syallus i'm afraid :-( the pure further maths modules tend to be *****ier than other exam boards though (imho!)
