Apu (Anglia Polytechnic University)

I've been offered a place at APU, Cambridge Jan 2004. Can anyone tell me what it's like as a place to study and socially as I'm not sure at all about it. Went to an open day and it was a building site!

It's definitely not Cambridge. It's fairly substandard, and is probably only worth going if you're local or unable to go elsewhere.

Ignore Unregistered there. It's actually a really nice place with a good reputation. The staff are very helpful and encouraging and buildings are very modern and attractive.

I would recommend it to anyone. :smile:

I live in Chelmsford, it's a bit of a dive-don't expect much-the town centre is dirty, full of ignorant little rude boys and but it has ok shops I s'pose!

The Caretaker and Vice Chancellor are the same person. Avoid polytechnics. :wink:

I don't know, I've heard nothing about good things about APU. There's some teasing going back and forth between APU and Cambridge, but that's to be expected of any two Uni's in the same place.

Do avoid the Polytechnics!!!!!! APU is not a unversity, it is a complete sham! There are not many people that think of APU as an actual university, as it was known for being a polytech for so long. There are a couple of new buildings there which look quite nice thou.
