No, it rarely works. Sabertooth's the exception not the rule. Even if it ends up working, it's too much effort. Relationships are difficult enough without that added burden.

You say "exception not the rule", but plenty of relationships start off as LDRs. It's no small number, I think this post is unnecessarily discouraging.
