In question 3, we are looking at the change in rate of reaction of amylase (an enzyme which breaks down starch) as the concentration of starch increases. When there’s more starch, what’s going to happen to the amount of collisions between starch and amylase (more collisions = more successful collisions), and in turn what does this mean for the rate of reaction? The graph appears to be levelling off at the high concs of starch. What’s happening to the rate here?
