Career change from Midwifery?
Hi All,
I'm new to this platform but wanted to ask any advice from anyone who has changed career from Midwifery. I've been in Midwifery for 25yrs this year and I'm ready for out!
Unfortunately the only thing keeping me in my job is financial at present.
I'm not interested in teaching Midwifery, Health Visiting or Community Midwifery. I would like a complete change.
I've considered primary school teaching but my Midwifery qualification is diploma level, so I think I would need to do a top up degree, so I can then do the PGCE??
I'm also currently studying counselling and mental health is my passion. My long term dream would be counselling but I've very early in that journey. I'm looking for inspiration for a change as soon as possible.
Any advice greatly received, or success stories of career changes would be great please?
