Can I just ask what are the best pubs/clubs to go to in Glasgow to go to? Ive got a birthday coming up and I'm not sure where to go.

Any help guys?

Really depends what kind of night you're after, what type of music you like and what night you're planning on going out on. You've got really studenty places like Common, O'Couture, The Garage, ABC, Bamboo, Kushion, etc.

Any places with maybe mainstream rock etc? Not the Cathouse, more mainstream if you know what I mean.
Rock isn't really my thing, but I know the QMU has Rev on Tuesdays. Apart from that I really don't have a clue, sorry.
What night is it?

Most clubs have music information on their websites, as well as what drink promos they have. Here's some of the main ones:

Most have more than one room/area so more than one type of music.
I see o'coture leaflets everywhere! In the toilets at uni and everything.

The only place i've ever been the the cathouse, and was pretty lucky to get in i think (i was, and am still 17). Most people i know go to the garage, kushion or bamboo.
If you're only 17, you have almost a zero per-cent chance of getting into any club in Glasgow; they will check for ID, especially if you're male. Saying that, however, if you really want to risk it I'd recommend finding a group of girls to go in with as this will considerably reduce the risk of you getting ID'd. Oh, and look smart; wear a decent shirt, jeans and a belt without trainers.

All that being well, you still have a very slim chance of getting in anywhere and it's quite embarrassing to be knocked back. Up to you.
Im from Edinburgh and if Glasgow is anything like it then you most likely won't get into the clubs (they even ID people that i think look over 21) unless you are female then there is a small chance of getting in if you play it right.
My old union served anyone that was a student regardless of their age especially during freshers.
Im going to Strathclyde this year so I wanna ask is there a Glasgow equivalent of sunday nights at Cav? and where are the good student nights?

There is generally something on every night, with the possible exception of Monday. Strathy union is popular on Tuesday, Arches on Wednesday, Art School/Kushion/Karbon on Thursday, Bamboo on Friday, ABC on Saturday and Garage is game most nights (but I dont like it personally).

Sunday nights at Cav are the biggest student nights in Edinburgh- I wasn't meaning it necessarily had to be Sunday.

I really need help. I was in a bar in Glasgow saturday to Nico's on Sauchiehall Street with friends. We live in France. We met a girl that name seems (it was noisy..) to be "Ariane" . She was with a friend that name was Andy. About 22. We forgot to ask her her email our number.. She seems to study art in Glasgow (our near). Now we re back in France, that's why i send u this msg..
What solution do you think we have to contact her ??

2. No second name
3. There are multiple institutions in Glasgow where you can study Art
4. You have no method of contact with her
