Share, astonish and educate the TSR community with those obscure nuggets of knowledge and information that you acquired over the years.

Here's some to start......

Einstein's brain was stolen even though he had requested his remains were cremated after death in order to 'discourage idolators.'

There is a town in Canada named Dildo.

In Switzerland, it's against the law to keep just one guinea pig. Because they get lonely, owners must have two. One can also rent-a-pig to keep singles company and in order to stay within the law if one of the original pair dies. CoolCavy

It only takes 42 folds in a piece of paper originally 0.1 mm thick before the height reaches the Moon.

Your turn!

This also applies to trout, eels, lampreys, smelt and freshwater fish. Just in case you were wondering if you could get away with handling trout in suspicious circumstances.

ok I was today years old when I found out that lobster's blood actually turns blue when exposed to the air due to the copper groups in hemocyanin (the lobster's haemoglobin basically) binding to oxygen. So actually deoxygenated blood in a lobster is clear and oxygenated blood in a lobster is blue.

As late as the 1960′s, injecting a woman’s urine into a female African clawed frog was the only reliable pregnancy test.

A positive test was declared if the frog ovulated within 12 hours.
