Claycroft: Good middle ground in terms of price and what you get however your social life will be great strongly depending on who your flatmates are. If they're not too social then you probs won't like it because parties don't happen here; it's more like flat/block kitchen parties and not other people from diff accoms coming to drink. It's close to Tesco which is the amazing and not far from central campus (7 min walk). I chose this accom.

Rootes: Party central and you won't regret it. Yes, you share toilets and showers with a lot of people BUT the social life is impeccable. loads of fun and people from different accommodations usually come here to party. Super cheap and close to campus. I wish I chose this accom.

Sherborne: Amazing lights and pretty good parties. It's the middle ground between study and party I believe. It's supposedly almost as good as rootes. would recommend IF it wasn't so far away from campus/tesco.

Jack Martin/Arthur Vick: Parties happen here, studying also happens here. Good balance between both; probs most 50/50 balance out of all accommodations.

Tocil: tries to throw parties but is unsuccessful in throwing any good ones. So, You'd probably be able to study quite well here.

Cryfield townhouse: They throw some parties but aren't that friendly from personal experience

Cryfield standard: I don't think many parties happen here and haven't met many people from here. I feel like its similar to Claycroft in terms of study/party balance but less of the party.

Bluebell: a lot of international students go here. No parties here really.

Lakeside/heronbank: great for quiet and studying, not great for socialising. super far from campus/tesco also.

Whitefields/westwood: ahahah no. I haven't met a single person from this place. wouldn't recommend.

This is really helpful thank you! How likely are you to receive your top 3 accommodation choices?

It's not a first come first serve basis and a lot of people I know got their top 3. However, if you put an accom that is not chosen as much (e.g. rootes) then you're likely to get it I believe. Even so, I know people who put rootes higher on their list and didn't get it. Anyways, my point is you likely will get one of your top 3 choices.

i also go to warwick, my thoughts are:

Claycroft: Good middle ground in terms of price and what you get however your social life will be great strongly depending on who your flatmates are. If they're not too social then you probs won't like it because parties don't happen here; it's more like flat/block kitchen parties and not other people from diff accoms coming to drink. It's close to Tesco which is the amazing and not far from central campus (7 min walk). I chose this accom.

Rootes: as OP said, it is party central. this isn't great for when there's covid and everyone still goes there and breaks the rules, but it seems like it would be fun in normal times. it'll be loud and some dodgy characters / experiences!

Sherborne: basically boujee rootes - most expensive on lakeside campus, but modern and probably a more party vibe.

Jack Martin/Arthur Vick: on campus which is helpful, and parties. they're basically both the same thing though.

Tocil: small kitchen I believe!

Cryfield townhouse: haven't met anyone who lives there lol

Cryfield standard: heard of some parties happening there? have never even visited cryfield campus at all honestly

Bluebell: only go here if you want to pay a lot of money or if you're international.

Lakeside/heronbank: everyone says it's super quiet but don't forget that you're still living in halls, so it's never actually going to be quiet! during covid people party here because security doesn't come round really - because of the reputation of being 'far away' from everything. realistically, it's a lovely setting and it's only like a 8 minute walk from campus, right next to the sports centre.

Whitefields/westwood: westwood is too far from campus really, and it's a bit detached, but close to tesco. don't go to whitefields.
