English paper 2 question 3Watch
‘Spun around roughy like clothes in a washing machine’ ok I know it’s a simile but do u break it down each time like ‘spun around’ And ‘roughly’. ‘Like clothes in a washing machine’. Each time I don’t get it I’m so confused do u need to zoom in , in each quote because I’m so confused ... do you break it down one time two times I don’t know someone help me please I’m totally lost!
I don’t think so. You can zoom into specific elements of the quote if it’ll boost your analysis, but if it’s not an important clause/ phrase/ word etc, you don’t need to. So for the quote you stated above, you could discuss meanings behind the simile as a whole, and if needed zoom into specific word choices.
