How lenient Is Glasgow Uni on results day?

I do alevels- English Combined, Politics, and Law. Glasgow offered me a conditional offer to study English & History on the basis that I get ABB (no reductions for EPQ Grade A like other Unis).
English Alevel, I’m confident I’m going to get an A. Politics, I’m hoping to scrape a B. But Law, I’m not so sure of. I’m probably going to get a C. I really can’t count on law for a B.
My EPQ is going well so I’m hoping for an A in that, but I’m unsure if this matters as Glasgow doesn’t seem to recognise my EPQ when considering grades.
How likely is it that they’ll accept me if I get ABC? How popular a course is English & History?

I received a conditional offer for history for the same grades (ABB). I think the best thing to do is discuss with your teacher if you aren’t doing exams and tell them the grades you need and see if there’s any way to get a B. Glasgow probably will have spaces on results day but will obviously give them to people who have received the exact grades or higher. There’s a few facebook groups for Glasgow students you can join and see what kind of courses people are applying for. Good luck!

Hey! May I ask what happened with regards to this? I’m in a similar situation: offer-holder for English/Classics with BBB of English, French, and Maths. First two will be okay, but I’m concerned I might get a C in Maths! What happened for you?
