Because when they let you into their house in full trust of you, and you go ahead and start hitting on their siblings, it is no surprise that they retaliate in an angry manner. And if they do, then you might as well find someone else, because it's not worth risking the friendship. If they're ok with it though, then it's fine. It's not as unreasonable as you make it out to be in your OP.

some people find it weird seeing their siblings in relationships anyway but i expect this is just heightened when they date their own friend ygm.
personally it's not a thing to get mad over like as long as they are both happy they should be fine with it.
