Is my psychology teacher teaching me the wrong essay structure?

Hi,
I’m doing Edexcel A -level psychology, and at this point struggling somewhat with writing the 8 mark theory/study evaluations.

I think this might be due to my psychology teacher, who tells us we should be writing really really detailed paragraphs, with loads of examples and definitions, which ends up realistically taking much more than the 10 minutes we are given in the exam to write it, and takes about 2.5 sides to write.

If you have gotten all 8 marks in a psychology evaluation essay, preferably in AS social/cognitive psychology, I’d be really really grateful if you could send your essay, just so I could check whether I’m doing the right thing, or writing wayyyy extra.
