Placement Years

when applying for a course and they mention they have an optional/compulsory placement year do you have to apply for that year when doing your UCAS application or is it something you sort out when you're in the actual Uni?

if it's something you'd like to do then you should apply to it on UCAS - then you'll be enrolled on the longer course which is simpler for student finance even if you decide to not bother with the placement (the other way round can be a bit complicated for student finance)

Your uni will sort that out for you. During the second year, the uni will advertise companies offering 6 or 12 months paid placements in their companies. Its good to have a placement year; will enhance your CV and you will learn a lot
