I’m it sure what the difference is between a local or a regional map, could you help me?

normally local maps are a lot smaller than regional maps to show details, and regional maps show a larger area.
e.g. a regional map could be like looking forest and then a local map would be like the trees in that forest

Local map is of a particular small-scale area or location eg the Quantock National Hills in Somerset, where a regional map is showing the region / country of Somerset or South-West England and Southern Wales. Regional is a larger scale than local.
