hi, I have a career interview coming up soon. after reading past candidates reviews about the interview, one of the question they will ask is " what your biggest failure?". The problem is I have little work experience and I don't have/know any failure of mine. so I am hoping if a user could share their own failure, which I can alter it and use it as an example during my upcoming interview.

Could you bend the question a bit and talk about a personal failure you have rather than a time that you actually failed something? For example if you’re a perfectionist you could say you often spend too much time on something and don’t know when to stop.

This question is designed to put you on the spot to see if you can think on your feet, the best way i have always found both as a prospective employee and conducting interviews myself... is to be open and honest, give a plausible example, but at the same time keeping it short... also don't forget to just stop talking...

a final bit of advice is to ask the employer what would stop them from employing you, example.

You are at the end of the interview and they will ask you, "do you have any questions for us?" a great question to ask is simply this, "Yes, i do have one question, after this interview, can you give me any reason as to why i wouldn't be suitable for the role?" that will not only put them on the back foot, but it will show you have the tenacity to ask tough questions and i don't care how well seasoned the interviewer is, they will sit up and notice you for all the right reasons.

My biggest failure is that I can occasionally get a bit stressy at work when it's busy. But that's only because I want the job done properly. And in an attempt to get stuff done I occasionally end up doing 10 jobs at once.
