You could perhaps approach this essay by looking at 3 different strands of liberalism eg. Classical Liberalism, Neo-Liberalism and Social/Modern Liberalism.
INTRODUCTION
This essay argues that all UK parties support liberal ideas.
This essay will look at 3 different strands of liberalism
Classical Liberalism is.....
Neo Liberalism is.....
Social/Modern Liberalism is....
Classical Liberalism
Key feature of Classical Liberalism is the idea of Negative Liberty.
-Idea that freedom involves individuals being left alone to persue their destiny. Any attempt to interfere with individual action may therefore be judged as an infringement on liberty eg. During the COVD-19 crisis in the UK, Conservative MPs such as Desmond Swayne MP have called for less strict lockdown measures.
-Minimal State
-Belief in Laissez-Faire Capitalism eg. Pledge 2019 Conservative Manifesto to cut corporation tax.
On the other hand, it could be argued that the conservative party is less supportive of the Classical Liberal idea of laissez-faire capitalism due to the introduction of the furlough scheme- big govt intervention in the economy- also eat out to help out scheme.
Your judgement
Neo-Liberalism
Not in favour of the status quo on social issues eg. Cameron support for same-sex marriage 2013.
-Believe in privatisation eg. Thatcher privatised key utilities.
-Low tax economy
Modern/Social Liberalism
Belief in positive freedom- Individuals left alone are restricted rather than free. Individuals may need enabling to exercise their talents.
Eg. Conservative Party under Theresa May support for grammar schools to help disadvantage pupils that were clever.
Labour pledged in 2019 and 17 to increase income tax for the top 1% in order to fund education.
Green New Deal- Jobs created by the govt- people in work with better living standards.
Hope this sort of helped. Its not a full essay structure cause you'd need to do for an against in each paragraph and then come your own judgement.

Do you know how each strand of liberalism fits in to the Labour party, the Liberal Democrats party and minor parties?
