Favourite Resident Evil Game

Which Resident Evil game to you enjoy the most? Personally I really think RE4 is the pinnacle of the franchise but RE2 and RE2 Remake are amazing too.

I agree Resident Evil 4 was arguably one of the best.

I enjoyed the others before that as well. Have not played RE2 Remake but played a demo of RE3 Remake and found it hard (not much ammo), and did not like it as much as the old ones. Also i was angry there was no music.

tbh I think after RE4 the series went downhill and seems to have become a FPS game now. I did not like RE 5 so did not play RE6. I took a gamble on RE7 and although it was better than RE5 I didn't like it because i kept dying too much, also i don't like FPS in general, also they should have had more enemies and a bigger environment on that game, ..also i think the level of gore was a bit too much (not trying to sound like a prude). The enemies took way too much bullets to kill, even with head shots and i found it hard to line up the shot in fps using the controller ...and a lot of shots would miss, or i would take too long...

I shall no longer be buying any more resident evil games. The games now are completely different to the originals, and I no longer enjoy playing them. Shame really, as i really enjoyed those games back in the day.......,

I'm newer to the franchise but I've played RE7 and the Remakes of RE2 and 3. So far I'd say I like RE7 the most as it leans it to the more contemporary movie horror aesthetic. I love the tight inventory management of the resident evil franchise and look forward to village :-)
