Need some help...

So I am a university student, and have been lately feeling distressed from recurring thoughts of something i did last year (went and saw escorts twice), and have ever since been having these recurring thoughts from those events which are causing me distress ( because of regret and shame). I also keep on browsing escort sites , but each time i back down last minute when I realize how i will feel if i do it again. But yet I still keep browsing the sites from time to time almost losing my grip and calling the escorts again.... I am 19 by the way and have sought help before for my anxiety and depression, tried every thing to no avail. Long story short these "episodes" of thoughts keep happening at random times , as in reminding me of what I have done in the past, and sometimes it gets so bad I start to lose my grip and browse escort sites again, thankfully though, ever since those events I usually back down last minute and decide not to proceed with my actions. I feel like its getting worse and worse each day that passes. I don't know how much more i can take , as in if it happens again, i don't know what will happen to me, both times i was super depressed for weeks after....

I would really appreciate if someone can help shed some light, maybe from own experience of a similar problem in the past? I am writing anonymously for obvious reasons. Thanks in advance.
I would strongly advise that you talk to your GP about your distressing thoughts . You don’t need to be overly specific just explain what symptoms you are having . They should either put you on medication or refer you to councilling.
In the meantime try mindfulness and know that we all make mistakes. Nobody is perfect . Every day is new and you can get through this .
