I can't give any direct experience as I'm based in the UK, but they try to alternate the timing of any live content between the morning and afternoon UK time to maximise the amount which will be at a sensible time overseas. However, the sessions are all recorded so you can watch them back. There's also a question board, so if you had a question in advance that you wanted answered you could put it on the board and then watch the recording back to hear the answer (if they don't type a response on the board itself).
Hope that helps.

yes definitely. thanks a lot!

Live sessions are typically on a week day at around 9am or 5pm UK time (give or take an hour or two). Each live session will alternate between these times week to week, to try and be as accessible as possible.

hhh. I didn't expect you to answer this question. I thought you were busy with homework and coding.

Thank you very much! very useful.

Hi, thank you for your insight about this online master.I am also considering applying for next cohort and I would like to know if you think this master could be a good start if we decide later to continue with a PhD ?I am currently working full time but far from ML/Data science, I had a computer science background and studied previously maths/statistics. I am considering this MSc and could consider (not yet decided) a PhD after it. The main advantage of this MSc is that it allows me to keep my job until i decide if i will continue into PhD. Thank you

I applied relatively early, back in Sept or early October, when applications opened up.

I submitted my application last week. It seems it will take two more months. Congratulations!

Good luck! I am still considering whether to accept but definitely leaning towards yes. Main concern is around managing courseload with a pretty demanding job.

Thanks. Yes it must be demanding. If possible you can talk with your line manager about the time commitment.

For those on the program, is there any exposure/training to SQL? Or is it only Python and R?

Still waiting?

Yes! Their website says they try to answer within 8 weeks, so I expect to receive a decision by the end of the week 🤞

Thank you @borbs_15, that's very kind. Likewise! (assuming that you also applied)

I already got into UIUC's Online Master of Computer Science in Data Science. I am still debating which one to choose if I am accepted to ICL. At least I have a good alternative, so I won't be too disappointed in case of a rejection 😅

That's great!
I suppose the your favour the other course more strongly.
So far this Thread is giving good insights into ICL online masters degree.

I have a question on references.

I complted my UG degree back in 1999 in Mathematics and Statistics from India.
And been working as a Software Engineer since then and settled in the UK.

Any chance of my application to this programme being successful with just Profressional references alone ? as getting academic references would be difficult as reaching out University staff for this is not possible ?
anyone has similar situation and got Offer from ICL for this course ?
