A level physics LDRs

Hi, could someone tell me how this is correct, I thought the total resistance decreasing would cause the total current to increase, making the bulb brighter?0EFB81AF-7CD5-457E-BB24-3D7CB98F303C.jpeg

The question’s about an LDR connected to a bulb in a circuit.

Have you got a circuit diagram?

The usual way to use LDR is in series with another resistor to make a potential divider... And then use the output voltage of the potential divider as the input to an electronic switch. Running a lamp directly off the current going through the LDR would be a bit odd.

I can’t remember where the question is from but I’ll have a look!
