Student finance England

If I have used full four years of funding on different courses when do I have to start paying back

Will I be eligible to apply for finance if I want to do a different course?
You start repaying when you are earning above the threshold to make repayments, and then you will repay a proportion of your monthly income, which if you are PAYE just gets taken directly from your paycheck like income tax, NI contributions etc.

Your eligibility for finance for another course depends essentially on a) what you have studied so far (whether you earned any qualifications, how many years in HE you have had) and b) what the new course is (is it full time or part time, what subject area(s) is it in).

Generally you cannot get funding for a second degree unless it is in one of several specified exception subjects. If you didn't earn a qualification but have 4 years of prior study in HE you will probably only be eligible for a tuition fee loan for full time courses, but may be eligible for full funding for a part-time course.
