Surprised about how good English Lit A Level is?

I chose to do A-Level English Lit purely because I was good at it at GCSE and I needed a third subject. I hate reading, but somehow it has become my favourite subject. Even poetry which I HATED last year has become so interesting and I'm so surprised by it. Anyone else feel the same?

This is similar for me. I hated English Literature and the texts we studied at GCSE but as soon as i did A-Level and got introduced to new texts i began to enjoy it so much

I liked both KS4 and KS5 English literature. I was an indolent pupil, but I managed to secure good grades in the end.
