Joining the royal navy

Hi I want to join the RN in the air engineering sector. I was wondering if anyone with past experience joining could let me know how to improve my chances in being accepted for the apprenticeship.

You're not being accepted for an apprenticeship; you are applying to be a member of the Royal Navy and gain an apprenticeship by virtue of completing your training.

All branches of the Armed Forces look for the same personal qualities and there are plenty of threads on here explaining the types of activities you should be undertaking to demonstrate those.

Try out the sample questions from the Recruiting Test on the website, making a point of testing yourself against the clock.

Look at the requirement for the Fitness Test and up your regular fitness so that you can pass it.

Become familiar with the aircraft currently flown within the Fleet Air Arm.

Have a look at a website called Navy-Net, there is some guidance on it as to the kind of questions asked during the interview.
