It wasn't too bad, most of the girls wore dresses some were the traditional prom dresses but others were just smart dresses that could be used at other times, there were even a few that wore suits. My school didn't have a policy that I remember, every year they had a theme but that was more for the decoration of the venue

No its unlikely you'd be made to wear a big puffy dress, most schools are unlikely to enforce something like that because not everyone wants/can afford a dress like that and they want people to have a good time there and not feel like they can't go because they don't want to be out of place

also I'm a bit. concerned about venue cause our year 13 prom is meant to be in a hotel in central London but I don't see that happening anymore 😞. but I guess it's a small price to pay to make sure people don't get unwell or die due to covid :/
