Teaching Chemistry without a science degree

As the title suggests, I’ve identified a couple of local training providers for a secondary PGCE with chemistry willing to consider me even though my degree is in law (I have A levels in Chem and Bio and would have to take a SKE first). What I am wondering is if, even with a PGCe with chemistry specialism plus a completed SKE in chemistry, my lack of science degree would hold me back when applying for jobs? I don’t want to do a year of postgraduate to end up struggling to make it as a teacher.
