Could anyone recommend which accommodation for Kent university is the best? I am looking preferably for an ensuite room, but also where there is space to socialise with my flatmates. Thank you! Also I would love to talk to anyone who is thinking of going to Kent, no harm in making friends beforehand haha!

Hey brother, fingers-crossed I get into Kent hehe, I'd say Turing and Tyler Court have the best-looking accommodation, I heard that a lot of people make friends, since people share a kitchen they socialise there.

Not only that I heard Parkwood is fantastic too cause it is the furthest from the campus so the security there is not as good as the accommodation nearer the campus, which means if it's loud due to parties it is less likely to get shut down or something...

Look at this link, it is a 360 view of the campus and the accommodations:

Hey, I hope too that I will get a place to join the university in September, so far I decided that I would go to Parkwood houses as a lot of the students from the university said is a really good accommodation and the community is fantastic, they also say that it might not be far from centre campus if you take short cuts, and like you why not be friends there won't be any harm, as I'm nervous and scared that I won't make friends.

Hiyaa guys, I'm a current student here at Kent just to help out. I would highly recommend for ensuite Turing Flats, Tyler Court B&C, Keynes Flats, and Parkwood Flats. They are considered the nicest ensuite accommodation with nice kitchen space to commune with fellow students. I would also recommend on the more affordable scale, Parkwood houses as said above has a great community feel that make you feel connected to your friends. Lastly, I would recommend applying as soon as the form is sent to you, as the earlier the better, in terms of getting the accommodation you'd like. If you don't happen to have enough for student finance all you'd have to do is alter the form and let the accommodation office, that way incase you can afford it you wont miss out in getting the accommodation you want.
I hope this helps,
Nicola O

Would love to know too, just received an offer from them today and I'm considering my options. I've heard that Turing is really good but the most expensive, quite worried about being in accommodation with people I don't get along with well, just me? :/

That’s also my worry too! I don’t want to pay all this money to be stuck with people I don’t get along with! And just making friends in general 🥺🤣

Exactly!! I'm quite a social butterfly so I can mix in with any groups but I really hope I find others that are on the same wavelength as me, I think the best way for all of us to easily find friends is through whatsapp groups, I know that my friends that went Royal Holloway found groups for freshers on facebook and then joined whatsapp groups for their accommodation and courses. There should be something along those lines for Kent too...hopefully

Hi there, you have the option to select "twin room" but you can also just have your own. Here is our website for more information:https://www.kent.ac.uk/accommodation...rk-wood-houses

Hi P***bek15,

Current 3rd-year law student and Kent rep here! I'm glad to hear that you will be joining us in September!
There are so many law-related societies, it really depends on what you're interested in and what kind of group you want to join. Here is a link to Kent's SU in case you want to browse them, just type in "law" in the search bar: https://kentunion.co.uk/activities#societies
The most popular societies in KLS are Kent Student Law (perfect for those who think of becoming a solicitor) and Kent Law Temple (for those who want to become barristers).

I hope this helps. If there is anything else I could help you with - let us know by either joining this thread: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/sho....php?t=7060166 or dropping us a DM I'd love to help!
