On the one hand a nice, if small, moral victory. On the other hand it is delightfully meaningless. Just as the Israelis thumb their noses at every other international institution, treaty etc. from their nuclear weapons programme to torture camps they will blithely ignore and and all rulings handed down. Thucydides quote on the matter continues to stand the test of time.

Will the Israelis ignore it? Admittedly, yes. However, there are so many ICC member states and the crimes of the Israelis are so vast that at some point an Israeli will make an error in judgement in terms of international travel and end up getting arrested - before ending up at the ICC. For example, anyone even remotely tied to the construction or administration of settlements is aiding in the transfer of population to occupied territory.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if we see the conviction and jailing of a mid level military officer or junior politician in the next 3-5 years. Now that is not game changing but it isn't meaningless.
