Hi, thank you for your message. There are many different types of learners at university and there is financial support available to support students whilst they are studying. Whilst I cannot comment on individual circumstances. I would recommend attending one of our student finance sessions (webinar)which will provide you information on the different financial support that is offered or you can access some finance literature that we have produced. More information can be found here : https://www.newman.ac.uk/about-us/st...-and-outreach/.
Many students return to education after a period of time and that is absolutely fine. We have a wide range of mature students studying a varied range of subjects with us. There is a lot of student support available that you will be able to access. This link provides you with the different type of support available at our university : https://www.newman.ac.uk/article-cat...udent-support/.
We have an upcoming virtual open day on Saturday 6th March. You are more than welcome to join us to find out more about our university, speak to current staff/students and attend subject talks. You can book at place here for the event : https://www.newman.ac.uk/study/open-days/.You will have an opportunity to speak with our academic staff who will be able to provide you more information on the course you want to study and eligibility. Hopefully this will put your mind at ease be provide you with the answers to your questions.
In terms of choosing between BCU and Newman, this is a personal choice. Newman University offers a great learning environment for students from small class sizes, student support, course specialisms and much more ! I would recommend taking part in upcoming activities and events (albeit virtual) this will give you a flavour of the university and provide you with the information you need to make your choice.
I hope this has answered some of your questions. Please do get in touch with us at the university if you have any further queries.

Thankyou very much. Also, I realised the main difference is that Newman make you choose the course 3-7 or 5-11 class whereas BCU is just Primary Education with QTS and you pick age range later. Is this not the same with Newman?

At Newman, you have the opportunity to specialise in a specific age group. I'm currently a 3-7 PGCE student at Newman University. My passion lays within the early years so the 3-7 is perfect for me.
Any more questions please do ask.

I've received an offer from Newman uni however I applied for the wrong course. Is it possible I will be able to change it to my chosen one. I've already emailed Newman uni however they told me I have to wait for an interview however it's been 2 weeks with no response. What do you recommend I do?
