If you love playing Spiderman then Playstation is the best, if you love playing Halo then Xbox is the best.
If you want to get technical then the Xbox Series X is more powerful than the PS5.
Personally, Xbox has more games I'd play but I'm a PC gamer so don't tend to play on any console.

PS5 cuz of its exclusives. The only exclusive Xbox has that I'm interested in is Halo (not that it has that many exclusives anyway) but it's obviously not worth it.
I am not sure what will happen now that Microsoft has acquired Bethesda (have they? Idk). Maybe better exclusives might make X worth it but rn, it's not at least to me. The Xbox Game Pass is said to be better I guess.

Xbox Series X, because Game Pass subscription. They're also buying out a lot of studios I've enjoyed in the past - so something to watch out for as they'll likely make them exclusive.

I prefer PS, I haven't owned an Xbox since about 2006. Although my stepbrother has the opposite opinion.

Pretty sure stats wise PS4 outsold Xbox so it's more likely people you know have a ps4.

From a technical standpoint, the Xbox of each generation is usually better. But from the "I fink this console is well cool" standpoint that's common here, the PlayStation wins out. If I get a new console though it'll be an Xbox Series S, £249 is a solid bargain and Sony record private voice chats now which is pretty despicable.
