Hi everyone,
I'm on a gap year but I'd like to buy some textbooks for first year law at Exeter, just so I have a bit of a headstart.
Do any second years/graduates have any books they recommend for Exeter Universities first year?

Hi i am not doing law but a resource that our school sent out to us includes suggested reading from cambridge uni. dont know if this will be useful but they suggest
What about law?, letters to a law student, how to do things with rules, law and modern society, the law machine, Eve was framed: women and british justice, Law:a very short introduction, learning the law
I can name authors for any of the books if you need

Yeah, best not to buy textbooks on your gap year. First because they could potentially become out of date when you start your degree and secondly textbooks are very dense so it would honestly put you off law if you just started reading them without easing yourself in with lectures, etc. Also, the university might give you a free online copy once you start. I suggest reading the books cloe11 has suggested, they are great introductions and way more helpful than textbooks at your stage.

Thank you! I've already ordered some of these online and started a few so that's great!
