Thanku💕
a) 260g sugar serves 8 so to find how many serve 16, find how many serve 1 so do 260÷8=32.5 and then multiply 32.5 by 16. 16x32.5=520g therefore to serve 16 people you need at least 520g sugar

b) 160g of flour serves 8 so to find how many serve 2, find how many serve 1 so do 160÷8=20g and then multiply 20 by 2. So 20x2=40g therefore to serve 2 people you need at least 40g of flour

c) So the apples are the limiting factor so find how many people can be served with 1.2kg of apples. First convert 1.2kg to g, 1.2x10^3 = 1200g.
You are told 750g of apples serves 8 so find how much serves 1 by dividing 750 by 8, 750÷8=93.75
Then find how many servings is possible by dividing the 1200g by the 93.75g that serves one, so 1200÷93.75=12.8.
As you can not have 0.8 of a person you can't have 0.8 of a serving. So truncate 12.8 to a whole number.
Therefore the answer is 12.

Less Explainy Alternatives:
a) 260 x 16/8 = 260x2 = 520g
b) 160 x 2/8 = 40g
c) 1.2kg –––––> 1200g
(1200/750) x 8 = 12.8
truncate 12.8 to 12
