eating an apple or grapefruit before a meal is supposed to help as well
It's mostly genetics, but supposedly eating certain foods (as mentioned, as well as spicy foods) boosts it. Drinking water, eating often etc etc etc.
Excercise also apparently does as your body builds more muscle and has to use more energy to maintain and move the muscles because they're heavier.
Despite this, doing any of these things never did anything for me....I know people go on about metabolism but I don't think it changes all that easily...

i know a lot of chinese med that can...my mom always tries to get me drink them but i insist on "no"
Genetics determine metabolism for the most part. But people who don't have naturally high metabolism should build up muscle, since muscle burns a lot of fat to maintain itself. Also drink more water, and eat breakfast.
o and sleeping enough.
it's so true...i find that whenever i sleep enough i tend of lose weight!!
