problem in understading a word (Psychology Attachment course)

"a fourth type of attachment (insecure-disorganised or Type D) was identified by Main, in which the infant is fearful of the attachment figure. This infant is in conflict as to whether he or she should seek or resist closeness."

I'm not actually sure what is the right and proper definition for the word FIGURE

the attachment figure is just the person the child is attached to there's no real definition unless you go into specifics of whether they are the primary or secondary attachment figure
