Still no offers yet :frown:... but it's been two weeks since I sent the form off. Am I just really impatient?

Ha... It's been well over a month since mine was sent off. Still nothing... I just want to know now! Even if they're all rejections!

Simple answer YES.

I sent off my form last October, got my first offer in December, and the 6th at Easter.

Sometimes they do just take time, not because of reasons to do with you personally, but because of sheer numbers.

Nottingham sent me a letter saying they will "shortly be making an offer". So an unofficial acceptance =)

Edit: Checked UCAS online

Course: Computer Science(Bsc)
Offer: AAB

Still no reply from Cambridge =(

i sent my form off and got my letter from UCAS with my password in it to track my progress. It said on that my Application processed by UCAS: 22 Oct 03 (I gave my oxford form in on the 12th of October by hand) and also my UCAS postcard said that my application was recieved by the 14th october. Which one matters to oxford when it was recieved by Ucas or when it was processed????

Why is that a MEng, I thought the Eng bit meant Engineering?

Does the UCAS website tell you if you've been rejected or accepted before you get your letter?

It does stand for engineering. Computer Science departments are normally part of the faculty of engineering and many computer science courses have similarities with electronic engineering. The 4yr courses are usually accredited by the society of engineering (I think that what its called), but 3yr courses are not, so its

BSc (3yr)

or

MEng (4yr)

Well the net is faster than snail mail so...

Rejected usually, accepted usually not.

Universities will usually post offers directly to applicants at the same time as telling UCAS - as there is a lag time for UCAS to process decisions you're more likely to recieve the offer letter before the UCAS system is updated.

Universities don't usually bother to tell you they've rejected you so the first you're likely to hear is through UCAS.
