Is anyone else finding that they're slowly going insane by UCAS?

Yes! I've actually now heard from all my choices except York, which was my backup (I have offers from Bristol and Warwick for Maths&Phil, an interview at Oxford, an offer from Bath for maths and Durham have forwarded my application to a college). But until Bath's very unexpected letter came through today, I was checking UCAS like a maniac in the hope that *someone* would give me something - from the early applicant lot at school, I was the last to receive something.

Death by UCAS = unpleasant

I've only received one offer from Sheffield, and one rejection from Manchester. Not heard anything from the others, although I'm expecting a rejection from Cambridge pretty soon!

reapp? How'd you manage that? or is it from last yr? xxx

Reply 795

Hey, unis still might consider you if you fall slightly below their entrance requirements, especially if they really like your personal statement and/or reference and/or interview (if you have one). It all depends on how many applicants there is for the course each year. I know a few people who have had offers way above their predicted grades so if the unis think you've got potential then they may make you an offer anyway even if your predicted grades arent quite up to scrath, if they think you are right for the course then they may want to give you a chance..
