edders - when did you send your ucas form and when was it processed? i've not heard a thing from durham yet and a few ppl on here have received those letters.

Reply 87

UCAS forms are processed in batches. If you haven't heard from them, you're probably in a later batch. Don't worry though, it won't affect your application.

This is my 6th choice uni after Oxford, York, Durham, Bath and Bristol. It was more an insurance choice than anything else. Although the postal strike is over it could take 2-3 weeks to clear the backlog of 10 million letters.

My application was processed on the 29th of October - I've already received one conditional offer which was on the November the 3rd.

From which Uni?

there is something unusal going on. I am much more intelligent than this young lad in my class, in fact, he isnt even in my league in terms of intellect, yet he has an offer, and I, who has consistently produced work of a very high standard for the last 2 yrs has no offers. this makes me think about the worthiness of our education system. It is 100% corrupt.

Perhaps they've applied to another University you daft muppet!

Remember mate, pride comes before a fall, don't be so arrogant that you're going to kick up such a fuss about it. It's still relatively early and the response from each university varies so calm down a little.
