Year 12s: what will be the first way you research your future options? >>

This guy sends me too many texts in one day

There’s this guy who my brother was friends with and then he started playing with me on PlayStation too. My brother distanced himself away from him as he told me he can get really annoying. I didn’t really think much of it but now I understand as this guy LOVES messaging me despite not really being that close. For example; he will message me essays about how his PC isn’t working and I try to reply with super short texts back to give the hint I don’t care but he doesn’t take it. He also gets really descriptive about tiny details such as he told me this long story about how a meeting was pushed back to next week when it could’ve been summed up in one sentence. What I’m asking is how do I nicely tell him to stop texting me so much? I like talking to him about films etc but it’s when he texts me every detail of his life. I wanna be nice as telling someone to stop texting me during a pandemic is super harsh.
