In Scotland, does anyone have any experience or advice about the route to Nursing as a Healthcare Support Worker/HCA via their NHS employer sponsoring them through a Nursing degree with the Open University?

I've received very helpful information from the Open University about the programme, entry criteria etc.

So what I'm looking for is the actual experiences of HCAs who are on it or intend to apply, and specifically in Scotland.
