I know lots of people ask about black box and the answer from regulars is always the same - it’s not worth it.

Being asked if you’ve EVER had insurance cancelled does seem harsh.

See I think the advice we already give is 100% on the money.

IMO It's essentially a scam product , like gambling with someone who won't tell you all the rules and keeps laughing

I agree with you - although I would clarify the rules are most likely written on multi page small print that no one will read.

I got done for speeding 7 or 8 years ago which is essentially forgotten. Apart from certain really serious crimes my understanding is even prisoners have their records cleared after a certain period of time with the exception of applying for some gov jobs etc.

And yet insurance companies can ask “have you ever had insurance cancelled” - seems rather unfair.

I’m sure telematics works for some but it would appear to be caveat emptor until someone regulates it.
