Is it weird if I tell an adult family member of the opposite gender ‘goodnight, love you?’ If I’m a teenager?

For me... I guess it's all the same.
But I don't know if anyone thinks it's weird, after all, she/he 's now part of your family.
It just shows compassion and that you care to your loved ones
.Even works with your opposite/same gender friends (platonic terms).
Or just stick with what you call them! It's all up to you.
