So I am having a lot of trouble with this question, mainly because it seems like all the steps apply? I feel like a and b are definitely right but even c and d seem to be right, BECAUSE YOU NEED TO WEIGHT BY DIFFERENCE.

9. Which of the following steps does not need to be done when accurately weighing approximately 5 g of a solid by difference?
A Weigh the empty weighing boat.
B Add approximately 5 g of solid to a weighing boat.
C Weigh the weighing boat and solid before transferring the solid.
D Weigh the weighing boat and any remaining solid.
